Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To study the pharmacognostic characteristics of Leea indica. METHODS: The morphological identification, microscopic identification, physicochemical identification methods were adopted. RESULTS: Groups of fiber bundles were interspersed in the phloem of the root, fiber bundles were radial alignment in the xylem; A large number of calcium oxalate clustered crystal and needle-shaped crystal were found in pericyclic fibers of the stem; Many calcium oxalate cluster crystal and collateral vascular bundles were found in the leaves. Results of physicochemical identification showed that there may be flavonoid components in the crude drug. CONCLUSION: Above characteristics can provide the reference for the identification and application of L. indica.
