Abstract
The effect of ground limestone on hydration characteristics of cement pastes were studied by TAM air isothermal calorimeter,TG-DSC and XRD. The results show that the hydration process of cement is changed by limestone powder. Limestone powder shortens the dormant stage and accelerates the hydration reactions during the acceleration period. Limestone powder causes the formation of calcium carboaluminate hydrate, which indicates hydration productes of cement pastes are influenced by limestone powder.
