Reconstructing the occlusion of severe occlusal attrition combined with defect of dentition

Abstract
Objective To study too low occlusal vertical dimension in patients with dentition defect restoration. Methods In 17 cases of severe attrition accompanied with dentition defect,removable partial denture was used,and the outcome was observed. Results After 12-24 months of follow-up,in 15 cases masticatory function and facial aestheticsimproved significanthy. Conclusion The occlusal splint-removable partial denture can be used for dentition defect with denture in patients with too low occlusal vertical dimension.
