Discussion on mechanism of supplementing Qi and nourishing Yin, activating blood circulation and detoxicating diacollaterals method in treating diabetic retinopathy

It is pointed out that the diabetic retinopathy is the syndrome of asthenia in origin and sthenia in superficiality.It is the result of deficiency of Qi and Yin.Blood stasis and phlegm stagnation,toxic materials derived from evil heat in the blood blocked meridiansand collaterals factors are the incidental.According to the pathogenesis of the disease,the treatment methods are supplementing Qi and nourishing Yin,activating blood circulation and detoxicating diacollaterals.The clinical investigation shows that the methods are effective TCM treatment methods in treating the diabetic retinopathy.
