Intensive Land Use in Rural Settlements: A Case Study of Zhecheng,Henan Province

Intensive land use in rural settlement is one of the most important parts to accomplish co-ordinate urban and rural land use.Plains is the area where rural population is concentrated,thus the intensive land use of rural residential in plain areas is particularly important.According to theory of resources scarcity,sustainable development and Pareto optimal theory to explore the operation models of intensive land use in rural settlements,select indicator for potentiality calculation,analyze the impact of intensive land use of rural residential on environment,ecology,economy and society.In this study,Zhecheng,the county in eastern Henan Province plains,is selected for empirical analysis.Although,the social and ecological benefits can't be studied more accurate,but intensive land use of rural residential has positive significance for rural socio-economic development and ecological environment construction.
