Abstract
This is a research on the influence of different storaging temperatures on breaking corm dormancy of Gladioluswith two cultivars of 'Mascagni' and 'Pink Diamond'. Results show that room temperature was disadvantageous to releasing dormancy and long term storage of corms. Low temperatures could break dormancy and promote germination, 5℃ was the most effective. The late-flowering cultivar broke dormancy earlier than the early-flowering one. Alternating temperatures accelerated corm dormancy releasing, but there was obvious difference between the two cultivars.
