On the Social History Studies of the Annales School in the Post-war Era

Among the several major schools of new historiography in 20th century west,the Annales School was one of the most influential.This school emphasized studies about social history and economic history,among which the social history studies had gradually expanded and opened up new scope as a result of the endeavor of generations of scholars.From social and economic history to the history of mentality and politics,from the use of measuring methods to the revival of narrative history,the diversified social history studies of the Annales School always led the fashion of historiography.The accomplishment of the Annales School social history studies has made it clear that social history is rather a way of thinking and approach than a rigid concept and system.
