King Yu's Ganqi Dancing——the Sign of Wudang Martial Arts Birth

According to such studying methods as documentation and consultation with experts,the discussion is made of the formation of Wudang martial arts on the basis of the reasons for the formation of Chinese martial arts.The results show that Sanmiao War,launched by King Yu,a legendary leader of an ancient tribe union,led to the development of the Weapons and fighting skills and techniques among the ancient tribes across Wudang areas.The results also tell us that Ganqi Dancing,a religious and sacrificial activity,both drove the development and popularization of the tribal martial arts and symbolized the birth of Wudang martial arts.
