Abstract
Based on the slag composition of blast furnace, the twice orthogonal regression method was adopted to make the synthetic slag for Baotou Iron and Steel(Group) Co.Through measuring the viscosity, melting temperature and melting range of the prepared slag, the research of F and MgO influence on the slag performance was carried out and the suitable composition of blast furnace slag was found.Experiment result shows that when F%≤1%,CaF_2 has functionally reduced the slag's start melting temperature and increased its melting range while reduced the slag heat enthalp, its viscosity and melting temperature. When MgO% is in 11.652%,along with the increase of MgO,the slag thermal stability was raised, and its viscosity was also reduced, with the melting temperature reaching the highest.
