Abstract
Objective To explore the changes of brain derived neurotrophic factor after(BDNF) the cerebral ischemic insult in rats. Methods The rat model of focal cerebral ischemia was set up by blocking up the middle cerebral artery(MCA)with filament. The expression of BDNF positive neurons at different times was detected with immunohistochemistry. Results Compared with the sham group, the number of BDNF positive neurons increased at 6 hours later in cerebral ischemia models(P0.05),and reached a peak value at 24 hours after ischemia(P0.05).Conclusion The expresion of BDNF is increased after ischemia of the neuron, which is helpful to the repair of injured neuron.
