Positioning the Roles of English Teachers in On-line College English Teaching

With the development of modern educational technology, the construction of college digital campus is being perfected, and on-line teaching will unavoidably be an important mode for college English teaching. Traditional teachers' and students' roles, the teaching environment and teaching resources will correspondingly change a lot. Based on the social constructivist theory of Marion William and Robert L. Burden, this paper aims to discuss various main factors affecting on-line college English teaching and to probe into the orientation of the roles of English teachers in on-line college English teaching.
