The causes of the development of professional basketball in China were analyzed through investigation and research.Compared with NBA in western developed countries,the professional basketball sports were different from that of western developed countries in core goals,organization structure and domination disposition,governmental mechanism and management regulation.The establishment and development of the market economy system in China,the professional transformation of basketball in the world,the development of the Olympic Games and the reform of competitive sports system in China have pushed the professional basketball forward.The rising of the professional basketball club and the supports provided by the government-oriented competition system.The government oriented supply pattern of professional sport institution was the systematic restriction of Chinese professional basketball sports development.
