Abstract

Objiective To investigate the blood supply changes of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)before and after transcatheter arterial chemoembolization(TACE) using computed tomography perfusion imaging(CTPI).Methods CT perfusion scans were performed 1 d before treatment and 7~10 d after TACE for 30 patients with HCC.The perfusion images and parameters of HCC lesions and normal tissues were measured, including the values of blood flow(BF),blood volume(BV),mean transit time(MTT),permeability(PS),hepatic arterial fraction(HAF),hepatic arterial perfusion(HAP),portal vein perfusion(PVP) .Results The differences of HBF,HBV,HAP in HCC lesions were statistically significant,MTT,PS,HAF,PVP were not significant. There was not significant among the parameters in normal tissue before and after therapy. Conclusion CTPI may be a safe and effective methods to evaluate the therapeutic effect of TACE.
