Root canal treatment by ProTaper nickel-titanium rotary instruments in 1208 cases

Abstract

Objective: To observe the effects of ProTaper nickel-titanium rotary instruments in dental root canal therapy.Methods: Root canal therapy was conducted in 1208 cases during 2007.07-2009.07 by ProTaper nickel-titanium rotary instruments,The effects were evaluated by clinical observation and postoperative X-ray examination.Results: In the 1208 cases,862 cases(98%) with pulp disease and 346 cases(93.3%) with periapical disease were treated successfully.Conclusion: ProTaper nickel-titanium rotary instruments were effective in dental canal therapy.
