Clinical Evaluation on Nickel-titanium Rotary Instrument-Protaper in Root Canal Preparation

Objective:To investigate the clinical effects of nickel-titanium rotary instrument ProTaper in root canal preparation.Methods:82 molars were prepared by ProTaper nickel-titanium instrument with crown-down technique in the experimental group,and by K files with step-back technique in the control group.All teeth were obturated with lateral condensation method.The efficiency of preparation and obturation was analyzed by radiographs before and after treatment.Results:Root canal preparation time in the experimental group was shorter than that of the control group,the rate of complications incidence was less than that of the control group after treatment.Conclusions:ProTaper nickel-titanium instrument can be used for preparation of root canals effectively and quickly.Its appliance may improve the quality of obturation,ProTaper nickel-titanium instruments is worth wide application.
