Effect of Zhitiaokang capsule on tumor necrosis factor-α in serum of patients with hyperlipidemia

Objective To observe the effect of Zhitiaokang capsule on tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)in serum of patients with hyperlipidemia.Methods 186 patients with hyperlipidemia were divided into two groups by randomized, single-blinded and positive drug controlled methods.124 patients in treatment group were treated by Zhitiaokang capsule,62 patients in control group were treated by Zhibituo tablets. The change of TNF-α in serum for both groups was detected.Results The TNF-α was significantly decreased after treatment, as compared with that before treatment in both groups (P0.001);there was a significant difference in the content of TNF-α after treatment between treatment group and control group (P0.05).Conclusion Zhitiaokang capsule can prevent atherogenesis by reducing the content of TNF-α to relieve its injury on body.
