Study on the Relationship between Education Investment and Economic Growth of Anhui Province

Abstract

According to the endogenous economic growth theory and based on the data from 1979 to 2006 in Anhui Province,this paper uses the Cobb-Douglas Research Model to construct the functional relationship between education investment and economic growth.It proceeds to carry on econometric test and analysis to obtain the relationship between education investment and local economic growth.Results show that there is a stable equilibrium relationship between education investment and economic growth with the former being an important reason for the latter,and the elasticity of education investment is 0.304 1.
