Abstract
In view of the characteristics of probability theory and mathematical statistics in the application-oriented universities,put forward the suggestion of integrating mathematical modeling into the probability theory and mathematical statistics.Proposed teaching reform measures such as introducing into probability theory and mathematical statistics through mathematical modeling,appling the idea of mathematical modeling into the whole process of probability theory and mathematical statistics teaching,strengthening the construction of textbooks,encouraging students to take part in mathematical modeling competition,and reforming methods of course assessment.It aims to stimulate the students′ interest in learning and improve teaching quality through the introduction of mathematical modeling.
