Clinical Observation of Combined "Changan Decoction" and Chemotherapy in Treating Postoperative Colorectal Cancer

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of combined Changan Decoction and chemotherapy for colorectal cancer following radical treatment.Methods A total of 80 subjects were randomly divided into two groups:treatment group in which 40 cases were treated by combined Changan Decoction and chemotherapy and control group in which 40 cases were treated by chemotherapy alone.The main indexes included the rate of chemotherapeutical completion,the quality of life,the count of WBC and platelet,carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA),and the recurrence and metastasis of cancer.Results The treatment group was superior to the control group in increasing the rate of completion of chemotherapy,the quality of life and the count of platelet(P0.05).Conclusion Combined Changan Decoction and chemotherapy is effective to reduce toxicity and improve the quality of life in the treatment of colorectal cancer after radical treatment.
