The Treatment of Mild Pediatric Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome

Abstract

Objective To find the best treatment for mild pediatric obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome(OSAHS).Methods The nasal endoscopy,polysomnography and OSA-18 survey were preformed in 51 mild OSAHS patients before treatment,and 3 months after treatment,then the data were analyzed.Results 3 months after treatment,the PSG results were significantly improved in the surgical group;OSA-18 scale scores were significantly improved in both surgical group and drug treatment group.Conclusion For children with mild OSAHS caused by hypertrophy,surgery is the main and effective treatment.
