Clinical observation of"Jieyu Xiaoban Decoction"in treating 30 cases of female chloasma of liver qi stagnation syndrome

Objective To observe the effect of Jieyu Xiaoban Decoction on female chloasma of liver qi stagnation syndrome.Methods Sixty women with chloasma were randomly divided into treatment group(30 cases) and control group(30 cases).The patients in the treatment group were treated with Jieyu Xiaoban Decoction, and those in the control group were administered with vitamin C and vitamin E.All the patients were treated for 12 weeks.Serum hormone estradiol(E_2), testosterone(T),serum superoxide dismutase(SOD),malondialdehyde(MDA) were examined before and after treatment;and clinical efficacy was evaluated.Results The total effective rates in the treatment group and the control group were 80.0%and 53.3%respectively,with a significant difference between the two groups(P0.05).After treatment,the levels of E_2,SOD and MDA in both groups were significantly improved(P0.05,P0.01),and there were significant differences in the levels of SOD and MDA between the two groups(P0.05).Conclusion Jieyu Xiaoban Decoction is effective in treating female chloasma of liver qi stagnation syndrome.
