Abstract
OBJECTIVE:To determine the sensitivity of patients with ovarian cancer to anticancer drugs used either alone or combination after operation in vitro using MTT assay for references in the selection of clinical individualized chemotherapy.METHODS:Chemosensitivity of18cases of ovarian cancer fresh specimen to20drug therapies commonly used in the clinic were detected in vitro by MTT assay.RESULTS:The sensitivity to anticancer agents varied greatly between different types of ovarian cancer and between different individuals who share the same type of ovarian cancer.The average inhibition ratio on ovarian cancer cells was higher in drugs that used in combination than that used alone.CONCLUSIONS:There was a great difference in sensi-tivity to anticancer agents between different patients with ovarian cancer.MTT assay is a simple and rapid method for detecting chemosensitivity of anticancer drugs in vitro,and it is conducive to the selection of clinical individualized chemotherapy for pati_ ents with ovarian cancer.
