Abstract
Noise source caused by gear transmission in automotive transmission system was analyzed. On basis of noise and vibration theory, mathematics model was established, movement and force condition were analyzed during gear transmission. Gear noise of transmission system was caused by manifold elements. Measures to decrease system noise by controlling gear geometry parameters and guaranteeing manufacture and assembly accuracy were brought out.
