The Development of Mental Quality Scale for College Students

Abstract

Based upon the previous researches,the Mental Quality Scale for College Students was developed according to the theoretical analysis and the half open-ended and half close-ended inventory survey,which consists of three subscales,namely cognitive trait,personality and adaptability,and was used to have preliminary and formal tests for college students. The scale's factor structure was obtained by exploratory factor analysis(EFA) for the data.After studying the test,retest and homogeneity reliability,criterion related and construct validity,it was found that the scale is of good reliability and validity.The confirmatory factor analysis(CFA) proves further that the scale's structure is reasonable,and can be applied to evaluate the mental quality of Chinese college students.
