Implementation of the IPv4-IPv6 transforming gateway based on NAT-PT with netfilter framework

Abstract

During the transition from IPv4 to IPv6,the problem of communication between pure IPv4 nodes and IPv6 nodes can be solved fairly well by the application of transforming gateway which is based on NAT-PT mechanism.In this paper,the NAT-PT mechanism is thoroughly discussed first,and then a design of modularized translation gateway based on NAT-PT,wich is built on the Netfilter framework,is put forward.
