Abstract

By applying Hertz Contact Theory and ADAMS software, the process of gear meshing is simulated. The magnitude and variation of meshing force under given rotation speed and load is investigated. The results indicate that by raising the damping parameter the vibrating range of meshing force can be decreased and the life of gears extended.
