New Level of Field Study Method——An Integration of Positivism and Humanism

Field work, as an important method of anthropological study, illustrates the tension and hesitation between the knowledge pursuit of positivism and resort of humanism. Field work method follows the scientific spirit with the principle of positivism, and contains the intrinsic needs of humanism. Anthropological study should reach a new level by integrating positivism and humanism.
