Abstract
OBJECTIVE To explore the effect of artificial nose in preventing VAP.METHODS All patients were divided into two groups.The control groups were performed airway humidification and drug omization device,and the experimental group were taken artificial nose.The fever,irritable cough and positive rate of sputum culture as well as rate of VAP were compared in the two groups.RESULTS Among the 38 experimental group,the number of patients with fever,irritable cough,positive rate of sputum culture and rate of VAP were 13,15,12 and 10,respectively.Among 32 patients in controls,they were 24,21,20 and 19,respectively.There was significant difference in the four indexes of the two groups.CONCLUSION The artificial nose had better effect on the prevention of VAP,which was significantly decrease the rate of VAP.
