Research on Nautical Chart Production Integrative Update

At present,the production mode of China nautical chart has changed from traditional manual simulate mode to computer aided digital mode,which can afford kinds of chart productions such as digital chart and paper chart in according to the different criterion,and the new mode of producing digital chart and paper chart based on the chart database is formed primarily.However,how to update diversiform chart data in the new mode effectively is an intractability problem which has not been solved yet.In this article,the production mode of China nautical chart and its characteristics are analyzed,and then an academic research on the update of chart is made with conclusions related to updating technique all over the world,at last an integrative update mode and key techniques of nautical chart adapt to our country is presented briefly.
