Abstract
Based on the panel data of China's high-tech industry during 1995-2006,this study conducted an empirical analysis on the RD innovation efficiency of high-tech industry by using the stochastic frontier analysis(SFA) and data envelopment analysis(DEA).Our results show that innovation efficiency of high-tech industry in China remains at a lower level, but it has been improving in recent years. The efficiency calculated by the DEA method is higher than the SFA method, but the latter is stabler;although the average efficiency value calculated by the SFA and DEA method is remarkable difference, but the order has a high uniformity;raising the RD innovation efficiency has a positive effect on the economic performance of high-tech industry.
