Abstract

Objective To explore the expressions of the protein and mRNA of programmed death factor ligand 2(CD273/PD-L2) in peripheral blood monocytes of different types of coronary artery disease. Methods Eighty-one patients undergoing coronary angiography were divided into three subgroups: acute coronary syndrome(ACS)(n=36),stable angina pectoris(SAP)(n=25) and control patients(n=20).The mononuclear cells were acquired through Ficoll density centrifugation,CD14+CD273+ protein and CD273 mRNA expression levels were determined by flowcytometry and RT-PCR.Results Comparing with the control, the levels of protein and mRNA expression of CD273 in peripheral blood monocytes of SAP and ACS increased, especially in the ACS group(P0.01).Conclusions The expressions of protein and mRNA of CD273 in CD14+ peripheral blood monocytes of coronary artery disease patients were significantly higher than that of the control group.
