Abstract
Taking the PCCP Pipeline Project of the South-to-North Water Transfer Project as a study case, the causation and mechanism of the leakage from the pipeline are more deeply studied herein.Based on the pipe-soil interaction and the law of the stratum movement and deformation, the max.swing angle and the max.tripping value of pipe joint are put forward as the control standards for the leakage of pipeline. On the basis of this, the calculation method for the standards of the max.permissible ground surface settlement for the first time for the impact from the excavation of the underground works on the leakage of PCCP pipeline is given as well.
