Abstract
Some Sogdian-Chinese transcriptions in the Tang(唐) translation works are described and phonologically analyzed in the present paper with the contemporary Persian-Chinese transcriptions.These materials,reflecting the general features of Northwestern Chinese Dialect of that time,may be taken as the references for the researches on the history of Northwestern Chinese Dialect and Jin(晋) dialect.It remains to be discussed that the transcription from Sogdian d- to Chinese 1- in these materials is rarely seen.
