Abstract
In Northern Song Dynasty,literati class was extremely active and dominated the politics.Most of them insisted on the value of traditional Confucian literati class moral ideal.They either considered governing their country as their own duty to show their loyalty to the country or spread Confucian classics to educate ordinary people.Their spirit has been praised by later generations.At the same time,the literati's passive personality was also amplified in this period.Therefore,the literatus generated a significant change in their belief systems and their behaviors.The distortion of the ideal personality had a negative impact on political situation in Northern Song Dynasty.
