Abstract
The income is relatively low in Northern Song Dynasty,literati's economic condition is far worse than which in Tang Dynasty.Even after serving as an official,they still live in straitened circumstances.However,the Northern Song Dynasty literati barely complain about poverty like literati in Mid-Tang Dynasty.They criticize the vulgarness in HanYu and MenJiao's article.The goal of their life is being virtuous;it indicates that personalities of literati have changed from heroic personality in Mid-Tang Dynasty to saint personality in Northern Song Dynasty.
