Abstract

Mechanical application of general teaching assessment systems should be avoided in the evaluation of Chinese teaching.In view of the distinctive features of the Chinese curriculum and the inherent law that governs students' process of improving their Chinese performance,the evaluation of Chinese teaching should adhere to the principles of generativeness,autonomy,dialogue-orientedness and humanism.In particular,the knowledge-based evaluation should be substituted for life-based evaluation.
