Variation Analysis on Major Quality Traits of Wheat Grown in Chinese Southern Winter Wheat Region

Abstract

In order to understand the variation of wheat quality traits in region trails,43 leading wheat varieties(lines) were planted in four sites in wheat growing season of 2001~2002,and wheat quality traits were tested and analyzed.The result showed that grain hardness,grain protein content,thousand kernel weight and SDS sedimentation value were 44,11.5%,37.8 g and 10.3 mL,respectively.Among 43 involved varieties(lines) with stable quality characters of hard wheat,grain protein content,thousand kernel weight and sedimentation shared 23.3%,39.5%,32.6% and 7.0%,their variance coefficients were 5.4%~(9.9%),3.4%~8.0%,5.3%~9.9% and 3.0%~9.7%,respectively.Varieties(lines) affected easily by environment shared(39.5%)(soft or mixed),9.3%,44.2% and 41.9%,their variance coefficients were(21.1%~)72.7%,(12.2%~)(74.2%),12.1%~20.3% and 25.1%~62.8%,respectively.
