Abstract
The cyclohexyl acetate was synthesized using acetic and cyclohexahol as reactions and Vitamin C as catalyst. The effects of ester with the different molar ratio of acetic acid to cyclohexanol, amount of catalyst, reaction time, amount of azeotrope agent on esterification rate were investigated. The optimum conditions were as follows:The molar ratio of acetic acid to cyclohexanol was 1∶1.4,the amount of the catalyst was 0.4 g,the amount of cyclohexane was 3 mL,and the reaction time was 3 h.The yield of cyclothexyl acetate was 81.72%.
