Effect Research of Self-made Peritoneal Cavity Drainage Tube with Two Lateral Apertures for Malignant Ascites

Objective To study drainage effect of self-made peritoneal cavity drainage tube with two lateral apertures for malignant ascites Methods 64 patients with malignant ascites were randomly divided into two groups,with 32 cases for each.The experimental group was drained by self-made peritoneal cavity drainage tube with two lateral apertures,and the control group by central venous catheter.Results The catheter obstruction rate of the experimental group was 9.4%(3/32),and was obviously lower than 40.6%(13/32) of the control group(P0.01).In the experimental group and the control group,6(18.7%) and 2(6.2%) occurred catheter kink,and 8(25.0%) and 10(31.2%) occurred peritubular effusion,respectively.There was no statistical difference(P0.05). Conclusion Self-made peritoneal cavity drainage tube with tow lateral apertures is safe,cheap,easy-made and easy-operated for ascites drainage.
