Abstract

Based on bibliometrics,this paper analyzed 3170 papers in 12 foreign periodicals in the field of Library and Information Science embodied in Science Citation Index(SCI) and Social Sciences Citation Index(SSCI) from 2004 to 2008.By analyzing the distribution in influential periodical source,country/area,institutions and productive authors,the paper discussed the main academic achievements,and discussed the research focus through combining Key words frequency and thematic analysis in the title of 234 high-cited papers in the field of Library and Information Science in recent five years.
