Diagnosis and Treatment of Intraductal Papilloma and Ductal Carcinoma In Situ by mammoscopy

Abstract

Objective:To evaluate the diagnostic value and treatment of intraductal papilloma and ductal carcinoma in situ(DCIS) by Mammoscopy.Methods:The clinical data of intraductal papilloma and DCIS in 68 consecutive patients with ductal nodule lesions underwent mammoscoy from November 1998 to August 2000 were retrospectively analyzed.Results:Sixty eight ductal nodule lesions were diagnosed as 61 intraductal papilloma and 7 DCIS. Fifty five of 61 intraductal papillomas were confirmed pathologically.The accurate rate of mammoscopy of intraductal papilloma was 90.2%;and the rate of DCIS was 100%.Intraductal papilloma and DCIS have different characteristics of image under mammoscopy.All patients had been operaed for lesion located by mammoscopy。Conlusions: Mammoscopy is a technique with high accuracy in diagnosing intraductal papilloma and DCIS.It is useful to determine the lesion location for operation.
