Abstract

It was found that Myriophyllum verticillatum,Potamogeton crispus,Chara sp.were the main submerged macrophytes in Hengshui Lake. The effects of three submerged macrophytes on the dissolved oxygen content, nitrate nitrogen content, optical density and conductivity of water were studied.Combining with field survey, the results showed that the odors and died fish larvae in the sightseeing areas from July to August were caused by Chara sp.,that was to say,Chara sp.polluted the lake water.
