Abstract

Three-dimensional web geographic information system(3D Web GIS) is an integration of the internet and 3D GIS.The continuous development of Internet technology and the huge demand for three-dimensional for 3D GIS have make the 3D Web GIS become the tendency of GIS development in the future.The paper firstly introduces the general situation of skyline three-dimensional GIS software platform.And then,key technologies in three-dimensional Web GIS development using skyline software is studied emphatically.At last,Shanghai remote video monitor and geographic information system is designed and implemented based on skyline software suit and this kind of three-dimensional Web GIS development approach is proved to have good application prospect.
