Application and Research of Skyline in Web Three-Dimensional GIS

Abstract

The general situation of Skyline software and its application to Web three-dimensional GIS are firstly introduced in this paper.The three-dimensional visualization and the real-time transmission of mass data on the Web are then realized by such technologies as XML,Ajax and TerraGate.Finally,the anti-terrorism system is taken as an example to illustrate the practical applications of Web three-dimensional GIS based on Skyline.
