Abstract

Under the enhanced ultraviolet-B(10.08 kJ·m-2·d-1) radiation, the Effect of He-Ne laser(5mW/mm2) irradiation on the damage of cell chromosome in wheat seedling were studied. The result shows that several types of chromosome aberrations such as lagging chromosome, chromosome bridge, fragments of chromosome and nuclear aberration were increased significantly by enhanced UV-B radiation.Further more, the UV-B treatment caused several new types of chromosome aberrations, such as single pole divition,partition-bundle divition and inhomogeneous divition. With the time incresing by UV-B treatment, the rate of chromosome aberration increase at first, then it was down, the rate of chromosome aberration was decreased under He-Ne laser irradiation. It shows that He-Ne laser irradiation can repair the damage of cells chromosome in root tip of wheat under the enhanced ultraviolet-B.
