Abstract
Objective To study the effect of nitriergic nerves in myenteric plexus in intestine of diabetic rats.Methods Rats were randomly divided into diabetic group and control group.The rate of intestinal transit was measured and nitriergic nerves in the myenteric plexus of rats’ intestine were investigated 3 months after the diabetic rats model was establishing.Results In the rats of diabetic group,the rate of intestinal transit was delayed comparing with control group and the numbers of nitriergic cells in the myenteric nerves significantly decreased comparing with control group.Conclusion It is possible that changes of nitriergic nerves in the myenteric plexus of intestine are one of the mechanisms of change of the rate of intestinal transit in diabetic rats.
