Abstract
The 386 bp and 383 bp cDNA encoding sucrose phosphate synthase fragment were cloned from the fruit of loquat by the method of RT-PCR on the basis of the homologous genes of many plants in GenBank.Sequencing analysis showed that there was 91% identity in the nucleotide sequence of sucrose phosphate synthase gene between loquat fruit and peach fruit.Semi-quantitative RT-PCR analysis showed that the expression quantity of sucrose phosphate synthase was gradually increased during the growth and development of loquat fruit. The gene fragments have been registered in GenBank, the access number of 386 bp and 383 bp cDNA fragments is HM122759 and HM146926 respectively.
