Analysis of problems in the use of clavicle hook plate for acromioclavicular joint dislocation and distal clavicle fracture

Objective:Some commonly found problems in the clinical application of clavicle hook plate were analyzed,with the aim of making clinical improvements.Method:Twenty-eight cases of Tossy Ⅲ acromioclavicular joint dislocation and Neer Ⅱ distal clavicle fracture treated with clavicle hook plate were analyzed for efficacy achieved and problems.Result :Satisfactory results were achieved in 83% of the patients after receiving clavicle hook plate operation;problems were found in 5 cases.Conclusion:The efficacy of the clinical use of clavicle hook plate can be strengthened by the anatomic reduction of acromioclavicular joint dislocation,accurate placing drill hole on acromion,accurate shaping of the clavicle hook plate,and the repairing of the shoulder soft tissue,as well as early functional exercise after the operation.
