A Bibliometric Study on Citation Frequency of Core Chinese Journals in Libraries and Information Science——Periodical management in libraries as objective literature

Citation frequency of the academic papers in periodicals is the important index in the evaluation of the periodicals and their quality.Ten core Chinese journals in libraries and have published the 31 periodical management papers of high citation frequency(≥30),which account for 1.2%.The papers of high citation frequency have reflected the latest rapid development of the field.Based on bibliometric study of citation frequency,the authors provide the formula for the comprehensive evaluation of the citation strength.The authors of the papers on management of periodicals are periodical management staff or researchers in the key institutions of higher education or authoritative research institutions.The latest development of research in periodical management is in network environment,citation analysis,open access,electronic journal,research methods etc.
