Abstract

Just like another Chinese ancestor Huang Di, Yan Di represents one of those heroes who have led the Chinese people from being barbarous to being civilized. It is incorrect to say that Yan Di is a historical character in some place and his civilization represents that of some area. The culture of Yan Di Shen-nong-shi reflects the spiritual culture of the Chinese people who are brave to pioneer, who are innovative, and who attach much importance to farming. Carrying on Yan Di culture is helpful for solving the problems of agriculture, farmers and countryside and building a well-off society and bringing about a great rejuvenation of Chinese nation.
